"I just finished listening to the farce of a council meeting where our beloved town manager (David Andrews) was removed. I am absolutely disgusted with the way this went down."
Dr. Don Emmons DVM made these comments in a recent blog posting. Like so many of our fellow citizens, Dr. Don expressed his anger and disgust with Loomis and his three "friends"----but Don took the next step, and contacted us.
Don made it clear he would not sit back and just complain. Don indicated he would run for Oro Valley Town Council, with or without our support.
Don and I spoke for hours. We subsequently met, and I was so impressed with his credentials, his demeanor, his sense of values and most important, his dedication to make a positive impact on our community.
I would not "rush to judgment," and as such, Don met with others whose opinion I value and the end result is this.
We enthusiastically endorse Dr. Don Emmons for Oro Valley Council.
Don is extremely intelligent. He completed an eight year program to become a Dr. of Veterinary Medicine in only six years.
He has graduated from the Oro Valley Citizen Planning Institute and is totally familiar with our General Plan.
More important, Don is a man of integrity and will be beholden to only the people of Oro Valley.
I'm confident that when our friends & neighbors get to meet Don, or at the very least get to know him and his values, you'll be as impressed as I am.
That is why, I ask all our citizens to vote for Dr. Don Emmons. He will serve us with class, integrity, and plain old "common sense."

Let's look forward not back. Has Dr. Don shared his thoughts on getting Oro Valley back on the right track?
I think the LACK votes have harmed our community. We need candidates that can turn things around.
Conny--- Dr. Don's statement is now available on the top left of our blog.
Space does not permit for us to list all his "thoughts on getting Oro Valley back on the right track"
Having had the opportunity of spending hours talking with Don, I believe you and the vast majority our citizens will find him to be more than worthy of serving us.
Dr. Don has my vote!
By the way, Nombe, I was on vacation and am just getting caught up on e-mails and LOVE site postings. Your "Oro Valley Needs a Liquor Store" script was hysterical. You certainly nailed all of our "personalities."
I would like to hear from Don, and other candidates DETAILS of their idea's to bring the budget under control AND their plan to lead Oro Valley through these difficult times.
I don't want any of the "Hopey Changey" generalities.
The next few years cannot be about promises. Voters need to see the details on how they will accomplish their goals.
