KC Carter "Melts Down"

Council Person KC Carter had a meltdown at the October 7, 2009 Oro Valley Town Council meeting.

Watch KC berate town Communications Director Mary Davis.

This over whether or not this year's town tree lighting ceremony (December 4 and 5) interferes with the town parade (December 12).

As it turns out, the groups working on these events had coordinated their thinking. They were very happy with the result.

KC was out of turn. And this is not the first time.

He needs to learn to be respectful and to behave in a civil manner, not like an irascible old man.

Has Carter announced his intentions for reelection?

I hope not! I can't even imagine who would want to sign his petition.

Yes and OV Mom, I know of at least 1 signature Carter got - Doug McKee's.

Carter is one "rude dude".

Carter was at the Farmer's Market this morning getting signatures.

How do I know? Because a few people that came to the library to sign Mike Zinkin, Zev Cywan and the two other candidate' papers told me so.

They did NOT sign Carter's.

Although we haven't officially noted the other two candidates, they have "pulled papers" to run, and we were able to get each of them a good portion of the javascript:void(0)necessary petition signatures.

More about Dr. Don Emmons & Mr. Chuck Davis will be forthcoming on the blog.

Our readers will see why we are so enthusiastic about Don & Chuck.

Speakers that address the council receive a list of instructions that includes " must speak in a courteous and respectful manner"

I think the same holds true for council memebers and it seems that Mr Carter needs to be reminded of this requirement.
Mary Davis, no relation of mine, deserves a Carter apology. Is he a big enough man to offer one?

I will work diligently to promote decent people for election to the Oro Valley Town Council. Carter is not one of those I would consider promoting.
