Just in case anyone cares, Vestar's "upscale" Wal-Mart will be offering a bunch of ''high paying jobs," as they are scheduled to open in mid September.
That gives them about 9 weeks to shield all the "stuff" on their roof to meet the code and which is presently a visual blight for anyone driving on Oracle or Tangerine roads.

Thanks to Vestar this is the "crown jewel" of our so called "upscale" shopping center.
Thump on the head to Vestar and David Malin.
oooh. Jobs that are above the minimum wage (barely). Can't wait to get one of those.
Does anyone know what the starting wage is a Target? Home Depot?
Just wondering how they compare to Wal-Mart.
Now that she's retired, perhaps former Council member Dankwerth would like to apply for a job as a greeter at Wal-Mart.
Boobie Baby,
No idea . Speaking for myself, I have inquired about a starting wage at different stores and never got a really good answer.
Seems some stores have a starting salary range that offers a nice amount of flexibility for the employer and employee.
Personally I don't dislike Wal-Mart
because of their wage structure it has to do with their business ethics or lack of.
It is my understanding that Wal-Mart is more then competitive when it comes to hourly wages paid for retail employees.
Good article on Costco and Walmart comparison

Forgot the link!!!!!
I'm appalled still at the fact we are getting a Wal-Mart. That is an injustice to the town!
The 'Dream Job' application/hiring office is in the vicinity of the Target/Lowes center at Ina and Tangerine Rds. Is this area where Oro Valley residents go to find jobs? Me thinks that their employees will take our money and
go spend it in Tucson or the County where most of them probably will live. So what is our benefit? Is it that we will get a PORTIONof a generated sales tax? Big whoop!
