Oro Valley Loses A Hero

It is with extreme sorrow, that we wanted all our neighbors to know, we lost a true hero. Jesse Latas, beloved son of our friends Jeff & Salette, and brother to Virginia, lost his battle with leukemia and passed away on July 29, 2007 at the young age of 22.

Please read about Jesse by clicking below. For those neighbors who wish to make a contribution in memory of a local hero, please consider some of Jesse's favorite charities noted below.

Our prayers and good wishes go out to Jesse's parents, sister, and other family members.

It was a privilege to be among a full Adair Funeral Parlor, to witness the service commemorating the life of Jesse Latas.
The service was exceptionally good, and the gentleman who sang some of Jessee's favorite songs was wonderful.
However, to have Jeff & Salette tell us about the courage of their son, and to see the video presentation that Salette put together of Jesse as a baby, until his untimely passing, was the most moving part of the service.
What an inspiration Jesse Latas should be for many of us----both young and old.

Thank You Art and Azvicki.
I also attended the service for Jesse.
The video presentation was exceptional and gave all of us who did not know Jesse very well a glimpse of his life and courage!

I hope that the Latas family knows that many are thinking of them and
wish them love and comfort.

If there are more young people like Jesse Latas in our world, yes
there is hope.
God bless him.
