Bits and Pieces

Town enters "branding phase" of 2026 General Plan
The Town of Oro Valley planning department is implementing a comprehensive process to create the 2026 General Plan. The process started earlier this year with selection Community Engagement Advisory Board. That Board issued an “award winning” commendation for the Communications Engagement Plan it developed.

Last week, the group met to discuss the criteria for branding their effort. Their meeting was indeed “mind numbing”. Essentially, the group was asked to provide guidance to the consultant on the project, Gormley Group,. The guidance was needed so that Gormley could develop a theme and a logo to brand for this planning effort.  The theme of the 2016 General Plan was: "Your Voice. Our Future."

Gormley will present their thoughts in this area in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, we think it’s important to remind all our readers that the General Plan is an important document. We wrote about this in our initial report on the planning effort for 2026 here.

Lacrosse at Naranja Park
