The Explorer reports what we already knew. David Malin and Vestar were never worthy of being in Oro Valley, and their actions show complete and utter disdain for our citizens and our policies.
Their actions are so despicable that the best thing we could do is shut them down and send them back to Phoenix.
Vestar is NOT concerned with Oro Valley. Vestar is only concerned with the money that will come from Oro Valley.
Are we surprised by Vestar's actions? Yeah! The same way we'd be surprised if Oro Valley was hit with a tidal wave!
They were bad before. They're bad now!
Read about their egregious behavior in this Explorer article.

Well I'm not surprised...and wonder what OV OT and the Mayor as well as our past council member; Mr Parish have to say??? since they seem to think Vestar was the greatest.
OV should hit them with a big bill for excessive costs; fine them for failing to follow regs; and stop their work until all damages are paid, etc.

Does OV have the authority or power to start looking into the possibility that Vestar has broken the contract and should not be entitled to the 23.2 million tax share.
Hey why not?
If the shoe was on the other foot, I bet Vestar would have already taken action.
Hope the council or Dave Andrews asks about the possibility of Vestar having to pay a fine.
Situation looks worse then many of us thought.
The OVM cheerleaders have all turned into Elmer Fudd in recent months. They've all become "vewy, vewy quiet!"
ATTN: Town Staff and Council Members.
Raindancer makes and excellent point. Can we LEGALLY stop Vestar from continuing work on the marketplace until they've paid all damages and fines?
Personally, I'd love to see Vestar get hit from all sides. They're already getting hit from the poor economy with numerous stores backing out of the project. Now let's hit them with fines and damages and bad press. After all, they deserve nothing less.
Get their money. Send it on the world famous Steam Pump Ranch.

Kudos to David Andrews, Town Manager, for addressing these concerns on behalf of the Town of Oro Valley; hopefully Vestar will get the message and, too, that they will pay for the damages incurred.
VC....My quietness is caused by the fact that there has been nothing posted recently that deserves response. It's the same old anti-Oro Valley rhetoric and I am not going to participate in that silliness any further.
