Move To Limit Arizona Property Taxes
There is group called "Arizona Tax Revolt." They are spearheading an effort to give property owners a break, limiting the amount of property tax increases that can be levied. The measure is called the Property Tax Levy Rollback and would appear as a ballot initiative. Similar measures were passed in states years ago .Click here to read about it.

I come from Massachusetts. Even in that tax crazy state, we implemented a proposition limiting the growth in property taxes to no more than 2.5% per year. And over-rides have to be approved by the voters. Over-rides never pass!!!
Point is: No enterprise, governmental or private, should be able to dig into your pocket at will. There must be some balance.
Otherwise, what will prevent Pima County or Oro Valley, if heaven forbid, the town gets a property tax, from expanding their spending at will? What will encourange them to be fiscally responsible? Nothing.
