As noted in an Arizona Daily Star article, there is "neighborhood meeting is scheduled for tonight at Oro Valley Town Hall, 11000 N. La Cañada Drive, to discuss a proposal to rezone a property at the northwest corner of East Tangerine Road and North Rancho Vistoso Boulevard." The meeting is at 6 PM.
If ever there was a time for Developers to get their way it is with our Developer-friendly gang of 5 on Town Council.
Generally, but not always, what's good for the Developer isn't good for you.

Thinker,
You're so funny. You comment on an inaccurate statement about the location of a saguaro cactus (STOP THE PRESSES! This is earth-shattering!) but no comments on the accurate statements taken from Town records obtained by Conny Culver on the spending habits of Hornat and Snider.
If Latas and Garner had spent our money this way, you, Mr. Fiscally Conservative, would have thrown a fit.
Here's an accurate statement from Art ..."Mary and Joe have frivolously spent your money on personal items while you pay higher taxes."
Where was your rebuttal on THAT statement?
Hornat charges us .51 per mile for every town event. I'm surprised he's not charging us .51 per mile to walk to his mailbox every day. He charges us for meals that HE CHOOSES to schedule with his supporters.
Snider charges us $500. for her CHOICE to join and lunch with the Optimist Club.
No complaints from you, Mr. Fiscally Conservative that these two voted to double our utility tax AND cut transportation for the elderly and disabled while at the same time running up hundreds of dollars each for their own personal expenses.
Their behavior is unconscionable!
The transplant of the cactus was successful.
However, Mother Nature had her own plans, and the moved saguaro was subsequently hit by lightning. It did not just "die," as is implied here.
You can hold Council members responsible for a lot of things, but arranging a lightning hit is not one of them.

Yo, best post of the day!!
What happened to Thinker's comment that I responded to? It has disappeared.
Cowgirl--- It was removed. If cox knew how to respond as bobpiano did, it would have remained.
cox has yet to learn to follow the simple rules of the blog.
That's what I thought, but it used to say that the comment was removed by the blog administrator or that it was removed by the author, and this time it didn't say anything about who removed it. New format?
