"Nero Fiddled While Rome Burned" ---Oro Valley Council Majority "Fiddle Around" While Coyote Run Users Suffer

There are three articles in today's Explorer that address the Coyote Run Bus Service.
It's Oro Valley's version of "When Rome Burns---"

Two articles are heartfelt. (The users.)

One is callous. (The OV Council Majority.)

One is about our fellow citizens that suffer from multiple sclerosis and require the continuation of Coyote Run.

One is about our fellow citizens that have children (young adults) that have severe mental challengers, and require the continuation of Coyote Run.

One is about the Oro Valley Council Majority that continue to push for the RTA takeover of Coyote Run without telling the above two groups, that under NO circumstances will their bus service be replaced.

Say what you will, these five (Solomon, Snider, Hornat & Waters)lead by Mayor Hiremath the VP of the RTA Board, continue to show a callous attitude towards our citizens.

As the four women with physical disabilities said: "f the council thinks they are doing right by the town by getting rid of Coyote Run, they should research the service while riding an electric scooter or being confined to a wheelchair."

When will these five say, "enough is enough," and let the RTA run the Tucson Trolley, and NOT our award winning Coyote Run Bus Service?

Here's the 3 Explorer articles:

Art, all of your links lead to the same article. I was able to read the other two articles after looking around on the Explorer site. Very compelling! Can you fix your links? Thanks. :-)

Ann --Thanks for the "heads up." I need to be a better proof reader.

All 3 articles can now be assessed via the blog.

I hope all the other Oro Valley voters will read the posting and be justifiably upset with these five that just don't care about the people.

The RTA folks have lied to and deceived the voters of Pima County since day one; the lies continue to this day. The RTA is a corrupt organization who pays folks to lie in documents, speeches, etc., e.g., they still contend it’s costing the average resident $2.50 per month; it’s more like $12.50 per month ($50 for a family of four), etc. Coyote Run costs the taxpayers about $75 per trip when you count all sources of funding; a taxi ride would run about $30. More government inefficiency.
The RTA Board, etc., should be replaced by an independent board and slowed down, so revenue matches construction. Monies wasted on marketing, bonds, useless consultants, etc., should be eliminated and used for actual construction; and utility companies, who passed on their costs to their ratepayers, should be reimbursed for their costs associated with RTA projects (hundreds of millions of dollars).

Not the place for this, but, any status update on the recall effort?

Hi Christoper--- As long as you asked, it is my understanding that effort is going well. Having said that, it is also my understanding that our friends that are heading it up, can use more help in getting signatures.

If you or others are willing to either sign the petitions, or help get others to sign, I would ask that you email John Musolf at jjmusolf@comcast.net
