Hornat & Solomon Are Up To No Good Concerning Rescinding Of Resolution Against Rosemount Mine

For those readers that pay attention to the Oro Valley Town Council agenda, you'll note something quite disturbing.

The original agenda had an item by a prior council rescinding a resolution made on April 18, 2007, where the then Mayor and Council unanimously approved Resolution No. (R)07-55, strongly opposing the proposed Rosemont mine in southeastern Pima County. A letter was prepared and delivered to Senators John McCain and Jon Kyl, as well as Representatives Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords, indicating the formal opposition of the Town to the mine.

Now, for whatever reason, Hornat & Solomon not only want to rescind that resolution, but it somehow was removed from agenda item 5 and now it is on the Consent Agenda (did they think they could "sneak" it through?)for the June 15 meeting.

This looks like nothing other than some devious shenanigans by Hornat (perhaps another reason for his recall) and "The Appointed One," Solomon.

As we said; "Hornat & Solomon are up to No Good on whatever they're trying to pull off here.

Rosemont Mine Opposition

"LOVE" has received the following email from reader Sean Sullivan, with the local Sierra Club Group.

I am with the local Sierra Club Group, the Rincon Group, and have been working with the Town Council and Manager to get a resolution opposing Rosemont Mine on their agenda. They are considering a resolution that is strongly opposed to the mine tomorrow, Wednesday the 18th. The Council members I have heard back from are in favor of the resolution and oppose the mine. I do not expect there to be any opposition to the resolution. It would be great to get some Oro Valley residents to show up and support the Council’s opposition to Rosemont Mine. The resolution (R) 07-55, item is currently listed as fourth on the agenda, but it may be moved up to the first action item, so it would be heard near 7PM. What: Oro Valley Town Council meeting

When: Wednesday, April 18th @ 7PM
Where: Oro Valley Town Hall
Why: To support the Town council in passing a resolution opposing mining in the Santa Rita Mountains

There is no logical reason for the Town of Oro Valley to be opposed to the Rosemont project. And I might add, no reason for the Town to be involved in any way.

Some of those pushing the passage of the original resolution should have spent more time keeping their own personal environment a bit more tidy and worrying less about Rosemont.

This is just another red herring and indicates the depth of thinking on the part of this blog.

Don't we have bigger issues to worry about that the Rosemont mine......a job creator by the way.

cox--- Instead of once again blaming the messenger (This BLOG) why don't you go after your two friends, Hornat & Solomon, and ask them why the hell are they re-instituting an issue that is 4 years old, and what's in it for them to do the "dirty work" for this project?

There is still a lot of work to do, to undo the damage done by Garner and his tainted cohort.

cox--You obviously do not care how ignorant your comments are, or you would just avoid saying anything.

Anyone with any common sense will realize you are desperate and as usual don't have any response other than this garbage.

Perhaps you (cox) don't like the word "garbage," but what else is it when you find fault with Bill Garner, when anyone who knows what is going on, knows Bill was NOT voted on to the council until 2008.

As I said, the more you comment, the more ignorant you look!

Art....Mine was an overall comment not just restricted to the initial post.

Wonderful. I'm sure that will make you look so much smarter to the vast majority of our readers!

Art....Do you have any belief in your mind that it really matters to me? If so you are far more delusional that even I imagined.

cox-- Let me leave you with this final comment. This will close this dialog between you and me.

I really hope you understand that I am serious.

Please don't force me to prove that I run the blog and I decide what has merit to be be posted.

End of discussion!

Well, how is that Rosemont mine thingy going?

OV Objective Thinker said...

Hi Nombe.....Not that you asked, but here is my take on the issue. Oro Valley had no business creating the first resolution. It (Rosemont Mine) doesn't really have any significant effect on us and so I don't know what triggered the action in the first place. Having said that, the opposition to this mine is primarily led by a bunch of environmental wackos. For that reason, I believe, the effort to rescind is well founded. But honestly, it's a non-issue that is being mentioned in this blog only to stir the pot. This item has as much traction as the recall idiocy.

Why is it that whenever anyone makes a comment or casts a vote in support of having a clean environment, they are called a "wacko?" I guess every Native American is a wacko to you.

So tell us OVOT, what exactly is the environment like inside your house? Do you keep it clean or do you have dust and garbage piled up everywhere? Is there mold in your refrigerator and shower? How about your yard? Do you have junk furniture and old broken down car parts strewn all over it? Do you dump drain cleaner outside your back patio?

No? Why not? Because it would ruin YOUR environment?

Well then you must be a wacko

OV Objective Thinker said...

VC....Your comment is so irrational it doesn't deserve a response.

Victorian Cowgirl said...

You mean that you don't HAVE a response for it! This is typical of you, OVOT. You have your litany of excuses for why you won't answer a question that is asked of you. But they're all just that...excuses...for your inability to ever be able to answer a "Gotcha" question.

My point, of course, was that you also ridicule those you call NIMBY'S when in reality, if someone wanted to ruin the landscape and/or air quality surrounding YOUR HOME, you would be the first to complain about it.
