Council Member Al Kunisch announced tonight that he is resigning from the Oro Valley Town Council effective immediately.
This is the 2nd resignation of a sitting Council Member in the last 4 months. As most of us probably recall, Paula Abbott abruptly resigned her position in Nov.
That only leaves Mayor Loomis & Council Member Carter of the four who were responsible for terminating our Town Manager, David Andrews on Sept 23,2009.
Both Loomis & Carter are seeking reelection.
Isn't it time for a total house cleaning? Neither Loomis or Carter deserve the vote of any Oro Valley citizen.

May Run-Off Election Will NOT Be A Mail Ballot
We don't know which, if any candidates will be elected in our March primary, but the town as announced that the May18 election will take place at the polls.
There will be one statewide question; identified as proposition 101. Therefore, the Oro Valley General Election (run-off election) will be conducted as a “polling place” election.
The primary election is very important and we ask that all registered voters who haven't yet voted, to do so.
The only two candidates we support are:
Mike Zinkin for Mayor
Dr. Don Emmons for Council

We're Disappointed, But Not Everybody Agrees With Our Candidate Choices
We want to take a moment to thank all our readers who have taken the time to acknowledge their support and votes for our candidates of choice---Mike Zinkin for Mayor & Dr. Don Emmons for Council.
Needless to say, not everyone agrees with us.
To prove that point, I thought I'd share one email in particular we received from an Oro Valley voter that was not too complimentary.
I thought it best to redact the full name of the letter writer, as I certainly wouldn't want to embarrass her, although I wonder if her boyfriend, the incumbent council candidate knew about her email.
Here is her message (rec'd in size 36 BOLD FONT)
and my reply (in size 10 FONT)
You are out of your mind! Mike Zinkin is the LAST person that Oro Valley needs! He's so firmly in your pocket that he hasn't had a thought of his own in a very long time. What are you thinking??? It certainly isn't about what's best for OV. Has it ever been? Or are you still just thinking about what's best for Art Segal??
Sincerely,
Voter Dottie
Dear Ms. xxx --- Thanks for taking your valuable time in enunciating your views about Mike Zinkin and me. (It was very easy for me to read your rather large font. Thanks.)
I'm sorry it took so long for me to respond, but I was busy getting Mike "out of my pocket."
You really must be joking!
