We were one of the recipients of the following email from Sean Sullivan, Associate Director of the Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection. We totally endorse the outstanding efforts of Sean, and Carolyn Campbell, Executive Director, and look forward to having them back in Oro Valley to help educate us on why this state land initiative is so important as it concerns Arroyo Grande to our immediate north.

Hi All,
I would like to thank everyone once again who collected signatures to get the initiative, Conserving Arizona's Land & Water, on the ballot. The volunteer effort was extremely impressive. About half of the signatures gathered by volunteers in the entire state were a result of those of Coalition efforts here in southern Arizona, so give yourselves a pat on the back!
Over 350,000 signatures were turned into the Secretary of State last week. We have a cushion of over 100,000 signatures. So, it is all but certain that the initiative will be on the November ballot.
We would like to start giving presentations to various groups throughout the community. If you
belong to a group or have any suggestions as to who we can present to please contact me and let me know. In the coming months we will be working to get the word out on the initiative so please stay tuned on how you can help.
I will let everyone know as soon as the signatures are officially verified. Please forward this
message to anyone we may have missed. And call us if you have any questions.
Thanks!
