I believe many of our readers recall our "situation" with Oro Valley when I was advised I must form a Political Committee. When I felt this was something I need not do, the town saw fit to hire an outside law firm to verify their decision.
As most of us know, the opinion the town received was that I do NOT need to be a Political Committee.
That was not a surprise. What was a surprise was the minimal fee the town was charged. It was only approximately $115.
However, this afternoon, Kathi Cuvelier, the Town Clerk, at the request of Town Attorney, Tobin Rosen was good enough to call and advise they received a second bill for services rendered.
Sadly, it cost the town (taxpayers) another $1336.80 in determining we have a right to endorse Bill Garner & Salette Latas on our blog.
We appreciated being advised, and thought our readers would like to be informed as well.

So it makes you wonder...when did the Town know about the "real" amount of the bill and it sounds like it was only released because the Town Attorney told them to do so. Guess they thought the smaller amount would look like a pittance.

Give 'em hell, George! Congratulations on sticking up for your (and thereby all of our) Constitutional rights.
George? Who is George?
Not sure who George is. I wondered the same thing
Hmmm. There is that "old guy" actor, George Segal. Who knows? Maybe, Mike got the two of us "famous Segals" confused.
In any case, Mick Bryan has a great blog, http://arizona.typepad.com/
that I believe you may find interesting.
