One week ago, lightning ignited a fire in Bighorn Canyon in the Catalina. The Bighorn Fire has grown to 7,000 acres. Yesterday, some Foothills area residents evacuated their homes so the the fire service could do a "back burn" to prevent the fire from reaching homes. Smoke billowed throughout the day.
This morning the fires still burn and the smoke remains.
