Bits and Pieces

Contest to name Vistoso Preserve
"The Town of Oro Valley is excited to announce a contest to name the soon-to-be acquired 202-acre outdoor space, formerly known as the Vistoso Golf Course. Thanks to a community effort (details below under “Background”), this property will be preserved as passive recreational space in perpetuity for all to enjoy. Now, the Town needs your help with naming the property, so we’re kicking off Name OV’s New 202-Acre Outdoor Space! - a contest that includes two rounds of public participation and a prize package valued at more than $1,700." Loop path surface repair has now begun
Crack repair has begun on the Loop path from La Cholla to La Canada along the CDO wash. The work should take about three weeks and once the cracks are all repaired, the entire path will be seal coated and striped. The date for that work should be available shortly. Detours on the path will only be made available if the construction zone has ample space and safety can be preserved. (Source)

Keep Oro Valley beautiful
"Keep OV Beautiful is a volunteer-driven program in which community members work together to pick up litter and roadside debris. In addition to being unsightly, litter and roadside debris can be a safety hazard for motorists and is harmful to wildlife. Help keep our Oro Valley views immaculate by participating in the Keep OV Beautiful program." Learn more on how to become involved in this program.
