Questions & Answers On Prop. 100

We have consciously avoided taking a position on Prop 100----not because it's not important----it certainly is, but we didn't want to be distracted from the critical Oro Valley election for mayor & council.

However, we thought it might be helpful for some of our readers to get a better understanding on this issue.

As such, here are some questions & answers on Prop 100---the temporary 1% sales tax increase as published in today's Az Republic.

We hope everyone will analyze the issue and vote.

So the education of the children of Oro Valley and the jobs of their teachers plus the future of the state is less important than an election that will result in someone taking office and become a politician.Same old Same old,I guess Prop 100 does not benefit your agenda.

Welcome "Bill"--- Where have you been the last few years?
This blog could have used your insight long ago.

What exactly didn't you understand when I said
"We have consciously avoided taking a position on Prop 100----not because it's not important----it certainly is, but we didn't want to be distracted from the critical Oro Valley election for mayor & council?

Why not read what I wrote, and stop trying to interpret what you think I wrote?

Bill, please read the name of this site - "LET ORO VALLEY EXCEL"! So, while not in lockstep with many of the positions taken by the proprietors of this site, I am in agreement that the priority here IS Oro Valley and since our election is the 'soup de jour', discussing same is correctly it's primary function for now.

Yes, education is important FOR ALL; the immigration question is important, FOR ALL; the medical care question is important, FOR ALL; the national economic mess is important, FOR ALL! There are, however, many other forums and methods that enable opinions and provide for discussion relative to all of these considerations.

At this point in time, diluting the Oro Valley election discussion on this site will only serve to diminish those issues pertinent to our own election questions, and, just because the vote on Prop 100 will be on our ballot, it doesn't mean that discourse relative to our LOCAL options should be considered to be subservient.

And, by the way, Bill, the State can only recover when it's parts have. Try, if you will, to understand that.
