Wednesday, the Oro Valley Town Council voted unanimously to request Pima County to hand count test the vote in one recall race in one precinct. The vote was approved with the proviso that the county hold the individual council members harmless from any legal proceeding that might occur because of this decision.Read the Town Of Oro Valley press release here.
It is unlikely, however, that the county will assume any liability. It is of no benefit for them do do so.
Many have written LOVE speculating that this vote on the part of the Majority-4 was just another ploy to take the burden off of them for not wanting a hand check of some votes.
