OVPD seeks public's assistance with credit card scam
The Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) is asking for the public's assistance in locating two suspects involved in a credit card scam. On January 21, 2014, OVPD was contacted by a victim who said they had three unauthorized charges on their credit card; however, the victim had the credit card in their possession and never lost control of their credit card. It is believed the suspects are obtaining the credit card information when used at an unknown business and fraudulently recreating the credit card. In this instance, the victim's credit card was used within one hour of their last transaction.
The suspects are described as a Caucasian or Hispanic. The female suspect is approximately 20-25 years of age, 5'-5'4", 120-140 lbs with reddish-brown hair, which appears to be shoulder length. She was wearing blue jeans and a red, long-sleeved sweatshirt. The male suspect is approximately 20-25 years of age, 5'10"-6', 170-190 lbs with dark, short hair, and dark-framed glasses. He was wearing a red, short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.
If you know who these suspects or have any information, please call OVPD at (520) 229-4900 and ask for Detective Young.
