Oro Valley's "Shop Oro Valley" holiday campaign starts today! It runs through January 2, 2013. Here's how to play.
Spend $25 or more at an Oro Valley merchant, get a receipt, drop the receipt at town hall. You will be eligible for a weekly gift card drawing; and for a $500 gift card grand prize to shops at the Oro Valley Marketplace. More than 25 businesses are contributing 40 prizes to this campaign.

Secondly, the sales tax is a major source of funding the town of Oro Valley. The sales tax contributes 44% of the town's general fund.
