ORO VALLEY, Ariz.(November 5, 2012)- The Oro Valley Police Department was contacted by the Gilbert Police Department on November 1, 2012 with regard to several incidents of ATM machines being stolen from local banks in the Maricopa County area.
On November 5, 2012 at 0140 hours, OVPD patrol came upon two male suspects who were attempting to steal the ATM located at a Chase Bank in the 11500 block of North Oracle Road. The suspects ran from the patrol units; however the officers were able to locate both suspects and took them into custody without further incident. Both suspects were booked into the Pima County Jail.
The Oro Valley Police Department will continue to work with the Gilbert Police Department for possible additional charges on these suspects.
Suspect 1: Gerald Paul Cox (DOB 10/18/66)
Theft over $25,000 (F2); criminal damage above $10,000 (F4); possession of burglary tools (F6); and theft of means of transportation (F3).
Suspect 2: LeVar
Coryell Mariner (DOB 12/16/77)
Conspiracy to commit theft over $25, 000 (F3); conspiracy to commit criminal damage over $10,000 (F5); and possession of burglary tools (F6).
