The Oro Valley Police Department HIVE Update

ORO VALLEY, Ariz.(October 23, 2012 )- [Tuesday's} deployment of the Oro Valley Police Department (OVPD) HiVE resulted in the following activity:

• 55 Traffic stops 
• 39 Drivers stopped for moving violations (i.e. running red light, speeding, failure to yield). 
• 0 Drivers received citations for moving violations. 
• 43 Drivers received written warnings. 
• 16 Drivers stopped for equipment and/or registration violations. 
•  7 Drivers received combination of citation and warning for non-moving violations.
•  0 Collisions 

OVPD will continue HiVE efforts until the end of the year. Those dates, times and locations will be announced to the media and through the OVPD website and social media page.
