Next Wednedsay's Oro Valley Town Council Agenda includes a consent agenda item to Tobin Sidles as interim town attorney starting October 8.  This is three months before current town attorney Tobin Rosen's retirement date.  "It is anticipated that the recruitment process to find a suitable candidate for Town Attorney will require considerably more time than the three months remaining until Mr. Rosen's retirement." OV Town Council will “goggle up” and jump in at pool celebration

ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (September 27, 2012) ‐ On the heels of a successful opening day September 19, the Town of Oro Valley will hold a Milestone Celebration on Friday, October 5 at 4 p.m. to mark the completion of its 50‐meter competition pool.

“We’re so excited to see our young athletes already training in this facility,” said Oro Valley Mayor Satish Hiremath. “This is a tremendous milestone for the entire community, and we want to celebrate that and show our support.” To that end, Hiremath and fellow Councilmembers will put on their goggles and jump into the new pool, clothes and all. Lifeguards will be on standby.

While the rest of the complex remains under construction, pool use will be limited to lap swimming only, Monday through Friday, 3 – 8 p.m.

The next phase of the project, which is slated for completion in March 2013, includes a splash pad, water slide, 25‐yard recreation pool, family changing rooms, community classroom and concessions. (Source: Oro Valley Press Release)
