ORO VALLEY, Ariz. (August 6, 2012) - The Oro Valley Police Department is seeking the community’s assistance in solving 2 “Hit & Run” collisions at Tangerine and La Canada. The first incident occurred on June 7, 2012 at approximately 7:06 pm and involved a pedestrian who was seriously injured.
OVPD is seeking information about an unknown Caucasian male, wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses. The victim and witnesses have described the suspect vehicle as a white Dodge or Ford extended cab pick-up truck with a chrome grill. This vehicle was last seen fleeing northbound on La Canada from Tangerine.
The second collision occurred on June 24, 2012 at approximately 7:32 am and involved a bicyclist who was seriously injured. OVPD is seeking information about an unknown older Caucasian male with a white beard and white mustache. Witnesses have described the vehicle as a white late 70’s or mid 80’s model Suburban or pick-up truck with camper shell. The vehicle had a temporary license plate. Witnesses reported a partial plate number of “D026”. The vehicle was last seen fleeing eastbound on Tangerine
