Interesting piece on Sanofi's Oro Valley research center. "Chemists and researchers at the Oro Valley site work at the Genesis of
the drug discovery process. But to move from the laboratory to the
market place the process could take as long as 12 years and cost $1
billion." (Source: Inside Tucson Business)

Ponderings: At the June Council meeting, at the 4:50 minute mark, Council Member Zinkin proposed that the money earmarked as Council Discretionary Spending ($586,000) be used to offset the additional expense. Council Member Mary Snider immediately countered that: “we have had designs for that mone.y”
Just who is this “WE”? Is this ‘we” Councilwoman Snider. Or is this “we” others on the Council and, if so, are these discussions a violation of the Open Meeting Laws?

There "otta be a law". Actually, there is. Read on....
This is a story of an Oro Valley dad who foolishly left his toddler in a locked car during the day while he went into Kohl's to return a father's day gift. The dad, Ismail Koksal, argued that "...in his country it's okay to
leave children in a vehicle". This may account for a possibly high level on child mortality in whatever god forsaken county he's from. (Source: KVOA)
