Exactly, how Oro Valley is going to do spend more on MTCVB is a mystery to us. Much of the bed tax will need to be used by the town to pay for the aquatic facility reconstruction.

There were three audience speakers at the December public hearing on the aquatic center in December 2011. One was Vince Trinidad, MTCVB's Director of Sporting Events. The other was Lynn Ericson, GM of the El Conquistador and Chairman of MTCVB. Both spoke in support of the center and how they will bring business to the center. Let's hope they will fill their promise.

Oro Valley is uprgrading its Granicus technology this August. The upgrade will enable all computers, regardless of platform, to view town council meeting videos. At present, video recordings are the only form of recorded minutes. Mac users can not easily view these recordings. This change will be a vast improvement for all.
