Oro Valley P & Z Meeting Aug 2 On Town Centre "PAD" Amendment

We previously alerted our readers about the Planned Area Development (PAD) Amendment submitted on behalf on the Town Centre at Rooney Ranch development on the east side of Oracle road, below La Reserve.

We noted that as a resident of La Reserve, we never received anything about the previous two neighborhood meetings given by the developer.

Be that as it may, we believe it behooves all residents that either live in La Reserve, or drive through the scenic corridor at Oracle road to be aware of what is being proposed.

The Oro Valley Planning & Zoning Commission invites the community to attend a public hearing on

Tuesday, August 2, 2011, 6 p.m.
Oro Valley Town Hall, 11000 N. La Cañada Dr.
Oro Valley, Arizona

Public Hearing: Planned Area Development (PAD) Amendment for the Oro Valley Town Centre at Rooney Ranch, located on the east side of Oracle Road and First Avenue, (OV911-003)

The PAD modifications requested are summarized as:
• Allow multi-family residential uses
• Requesting additional convenience uses
• Increase maximum building heights for office buildings to 50’
• Modify the Tentative Development Plan to allow increased development flexibility

The meeting will be held in the Town Council Chambers. The public is encouraged to attend and will be invited to speak. An agenda for this meeting will be made available at least 24 hours prior to the meeting time and can be viewed at www.orovalleyaz.gov.
