The Explorer reports that the Town Council will discuss the issue of town employees playing an active role in our elections----one of which is coming up in a matter of weeks.
As a result of having a citizen request & receive the signed petitions, it was determined that an Oro Valley nonresident police officer and a close relative of a chief were among those that helped get some candidates the necessary signatures to get on the ballot.
For any of our readers interested, the Oro Valley chapter of the Fraternal Order of Police supports council candidates K.C. Carter, Mark Finchem, Joe Hornat, Mary Snider and Lou Waters.
Talk about a Quid Pro Quo waiting to happen!

Oro Valley Council Will Consider Process For Hiring New Town Manager
The Explorer reports that the Town Council will consider options in hiring a new Town Manager at the Jan 20 meeting.
KC Carter, who along with Mayor Loomis, "lame duck" Al Kunisch & recently resigned Paula Abbott may not have considered the problem when they forced our Manager David Andrews out of office in a meeting on Sept 23 that we contend may well have violated the Az Open Meeting Law.
It was either that, or Loomis's keen sense of "intuition" when he said he had an "intuitive sense" that the council would not agree to discuss David's position in Executive Session, or the fact that he (Loomis) had the votes to terminate David.
The Attorney General's office is looking into our complaint.
Neither Loomis or Carter deserve the vote of any person as they both seek reelection.
PLEASE--- VOTE FOR MIKE ZINKIN FOR MAYOR.
