In his article published in The Explorer, Mayor Satish Hiremath enunciates what he'd like to see for Oro Valley in 2011.
It sure sounds good, especially the part where he writes:
"We want to do more, and we want to hear from our residents on ways that we can do that. Every council member is accessible — just pick up the phone and call us, or send us an e-mail at town hall."
WE must question the sincerity of the mayor when he determines he may not want a constituent to speak at "Call to the Audience" at a Council Meeting because he, the mayor, may not like what the citizen has to say.
Click here to read what the mayor wrote in The Explorer. Our readers can decide whether it's sincere or just plain old rhetoric.
1 comment:
"Strengthen our economic foundation by aggressively marketing our community to employers looking to grow their businesses if they’re already here, or bring new ventures into the market"
Now this is, indeed, something the Mayor said upon which we can all agree.
The only issue we have had is how to do this.
I would like the Mayor to explain how this is going to be accomplished.
