Mike Zinkin With Emil Franzi Sat. May 8 at @ 2:00PM on 1030 Radio AM Dial

If any of our readers----especially those that have not yet voted, and may be undecided, get a chance, please tune in to Emil Franzi's show on Sat May 8 at 2:00 PM.

It's on 1030AM dial.

Although the other mayoral candidate was invited to join the discussion, it is questionable if he'll accept the offer.

Also----don't forget the two candidates are scheduled to debate on Fri. May 14 at 5:30PM at the Hilton El Conquistador.

Too bad this debate didn't take place sooner, but Mike Zinkin could not get a commitment from the other candidate until we pointed out how he was avoiding the debate because Mike has more knowledge, more experience and certainly more time to dedicate to the mayoral responsibilities.

I thought Mr. Zinkin was reasonable and seemed quite knowlegable.

The call "Grogan sp?" seemed intent on cutting costs in The Town.

Mr. Zinking fielded the question/accusation about firing/down-sizing with why do not we re-direct some employees (planning and zoning inspectors) to fill some of the jobs dealing with (Steam Pump Ranch) instead of hiriing outside/extra employees.

I have no idea if the "job/s" are similar BUT it is definitely a positive idea.

On another subject: KC Carter or Satish Hiremath is lying, I think.

We already know that Hiremath lies. He lied on his campaign flier when he said he was the "only candidate" who is against a property tax.

He lied when he told members of the Sun City Rep. Club that if they vote for Zinkin they will get a property tax. Here, he was clearly preying on the fact that not everyone would know how a property tax is actually instituted. The mayor cannot issue a property tax. It has to be approved by the voters. But he implied that the Mayor can institute it and that this is what Zinkin will do.

All lies!

So if he says he never told Carter that he would make him his daytime aide, how will we know if he's telling the truth NOW? He's already indicated that he will lie to get elected.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive!
