3 Candidates For Mayor & 7 For Council in Oro Valley 2010 Election

Those that are seeking election in Oro Valley's March 2010 primary have submitted their petitions.

The final tally is Mayor Loomis seeking yet another term and challenged by Satish Hiremath, an Oro Valley dentist and Mike Zinkin, a retired air traffic controller.

Seven candidates are seeking the three seats on Council. Only KC Carter is seeking reelection. The others are Dr. Don Emmons, Matt Rabb, Joe Hornat, Mary Snider, Lou Waters & Mark Finchem.

$8.2M From RTA For Wildlife Crossing

Congratulations to Carolyn Campbell Executive Director for The Coalition for Sonoran Desert Protection. Her efforts to help protect the wildlife in our area has finally received the support it deserves.

The Regional Transportation Authority has given the go-ahead to spend $8.2 million to build one bridge and two tunnels for animals to use while traveling between the Santa Catalina and Tortolita mountain ranges.
