Barry Gillaspie About Paula Abbott---"It Almost Looks Vindictive"

The issue this time is not one of the most pressing issues, but, as a dog owner and animal lover, Salette Latas has been working diligently to make things better for "man's best friend."

It is obscene that Paula Abbott is doing her damnest to undermine Salette's hard work. Abbott says, about a $10,000 expenditure---ALREADY APPROVED, to look into animal licensing---"I just thought that it's the best use of the money right now." Abbott wants to take the money and give it to an outside agency, thereby killing the study and any future talks of local animal control and licensing.

This from a woman who pushed to spend the same amount of money to revisit for the umpteenth time the Naranja Bond issue that was so soundly defeated at the polls.

Barry Gillaspie only made one mistake. This is not "almost" vindictiveness. This is TOTAL vindictiveness.

The sad thing is, we're not surprised. We warned our readers this is what prevails as a result of the inept leadership of Loomis. Why? Because Loomis wanted it this way. He got his wish. He has total control over Carter, Kunisch & Abbott----and the people of Oro Valley will suffer.

Seven years in office and now you get it about Abbott? Sitting in a corner and voting no does not a council member make. Never prepared plus miserable communication abilities have been there seven years. Stop acting surprised.

Deacon,

We're surprised about the pettiness and vindictiveness which has nothing to do with any of the other things you mentioned.

VC,
Why did Abbott never get along with anyone on the Council? Her true colors are petty and vindictive. Ask Garner, Gillaspie and Latas.

4 good candidates.

Deacon,

I originally thought that Abbott didn't get along with anyone else on the council(s) because she was the voice of the people and everyone else (minus Gillaspie) was the voice of the special interests. But after the last election when I saw that she also couldn't get along with Latas and Garner, that's when I knew that Abbott was the problem. Sometimes it takes awhile for all the evidence to become clear.

If I knew then what I know now...

Who hasn't uttered those words at least once in their lives?

I hope your health problems improve and that you'll stay in touch through this site when you can.
