Twenty Oro Valley Employees Opted For Severance Package --Total Annual Salaries--$858K
As reported in The Explorer, twenty Oro Valley employees opted for the severance package offered by the Town Council, as a result of Bill Garner's motion.
Read the story including the names and salaries of those that accepted the offer.
But, Deacon, the mantra of municipal, county, state employees is always [if we were in the private sector this is what we would be making]. Baloney, many of these employees that CLAIM THIS couldn't even get a job in the private sector for anywhere near what THEY claim. However, Deacon, remember how they are paid - with a bottomless pit of tax dollars - whoopie!
Please note that my comment does not apply to all 'service' employees.

The salaries seemed out of line when compared to the private sector.

Let me add that unfortunately there ARE many persons in the public sector that are grossly underpaid, many teachers (not administrators) for example.
