The Dec. 18 Az Star reports that the Az Corporation Commission voted 3-2 to allow TEP to increase their renewable energy costs for the average household from $1.61 to $4.29 per month, a 166% increase. This new rate goes into effect Jan 1, 2009.
Just what we needed, as if things aren't bad enough!!!

Yet again, just more tax and spend Republican control of our lives (the entire membership of the AzCC are Republicans). Arizona seems to be one of the most politically ignorant populations in the country. Just look at our education system and what it will become with full control of the exec and legislative branches for cutting education. At least there will be some balance starting next year in the Az CC.
