According to an article in the Explorer, the Northern Pima County Chamber of Commerce, an organization of large and small businesses, some of which are located in Oro Valley, is still whining. That's because Oro Valley did not agree to contribute this year.
Reading between the lines, NPCC obviously was not paying attention to the shift to a citizen-centric council majority.
Still, the town is supporting them. After all, Hizzoner the Mayah for Life Paul "Looney Tunes" Loomis is going to present the State of The Town at an upcoming meeting.
And, in the article, Council Person Bill Garner offers to speak at one of their future meetings.
Perhaps NPCCC should focus more on doing things that benefit Oro Valley and not so much on begging the town to donate to it. Better yet. Get more members or raise fees.

Dear Zee Man,
I'm never disappointed by your always divisive and segregating tone and remarks in your postings. I would hope that "your" citizen centric council be a little more inclusive for the people of this town regardless of their views. This town was recently praised by a major magazine for being family friendly. There is never a need to refer to another human being as "looney tunes". Everyone should address each other with dignity and respect, regardless of their views on a given matter. That's what we should be preaching in this family friendly town! Name calling is an unacceptable rationale.
