Sanofi-Aventis & Naranja Bond Issue On Council Agenda Dec 19

Although there are a number of important issues scheduled for this Wednesday Oro Valley Town Council meeting, two stand out as very important.

Just added to the agenda is a discussion on the The Executive Session held on Decembe 12th on a possible "giveaway" to Sanofi-Aventis. Quite possibly, the Council will see fit to give this multi billion dollar pharmaceutical giant some
kind of incentive to move from their present Oro Valley quarters to even larger quarters.

We'll see.

The other issue is the proposed $48 million dollar Bond Issue to fund the Naranja Park. Don't be surprised if this gets approved by a split vote. Loomis and Parish are on record of wanting to fund the exorbitant amount (not that $48 million is "chicken feed,") of $150 million. KC Carter, to his credit voted "No" previously and, hopefully Paula Abbott will realize $48 million is way too much. Dankwerth, Gillaspie and Kunisch seem to want this park and this bond approved.

We'll see.

Try and attend. Town Hall--Wednesday, Dec 19 at 7:00 PM.
