Venture West Deserves Oro Valley's Support

Not all developers are created equal. We have had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with Neil Simon, Partner at Venture West, who will be the developer at Innovation Park. As far as we're concerned, Neil is a man of integrity. We believe he has the best interests of Oro Valley at heart, and we expect he will give us a development that we can be proud of-----not withstanding the fact that this council approved a 60' hotel.

Next Tuesday Venture West will be at Planning and Zoning for the PAD amendment part of their process. The Plan Amendment already approved was the major piece creating the land use areas. At this meeting some of the details will be worked on before it goes to council. (For example, the linear park—which will be at the expense of the developer and will not have ball fields; and the community commercial, now reduced by 6.8 acres, strip center not allowed, etc.)

We trust the Planning and Zoning Commission will appreciate Venture West's proposal, and recommend approval of their plans to the council.
