Dankwerth Seems To Say: "Don't Blame Me For Anything!"

For those of you who may not receive the Explorer, but read it via their web site, "The Guest Opinion" is noted as "Community Submitted." We didn't have to read the paper to determine who the writer turned out to be. None other than "Disingenuous Dankwerth" Oro Valley's Vice Mayor.

This is the same Dankwerth who writes about her opposition to these giveaways, but when given a number of opportunities to be proactive she did absolutely nothing on behalf of the citizens.

This is the same Dankwerth who just two weeks ago stated how opposed she was to allowing a 60' hotel to be built in Innovation Park----just moments before she voted to approve it.

Her quote: "Our community must decide whether it wants to be a “special place” or just another town with champagne tastes and a beer budget," is particularly interesting. Dankwerth evidently had a "champagne taste" when she saw fit to have that expensive steak dinner at taxpayer's expense on one of her sojourns to Washington DC. And why not? It was paid for by the citizens of Oro Valley!

You can read what Dankwerth had to say here, and form your own opinion.

Oh---by the way, we thought the Explorer Editorial said what needed to be said. We commend them for providing this community service to Oro Valley.

I love the way Dankwerth states that the Explorer left some information out of their EDA article and then she states that it wasn't THIS council who approved those two EDA's (Oracle Crossing and Steam Pump Village) but then she conveniently leaves out the fact that it WAS this council who pushed the voters to approve the Vestar EDA!

When she ran for election the first time, she was anti-developer. As soon as she got into office, she became pro-developer. Now it's time for re-election and suddenly she is anti-developer again. I voted for her the first time, but...

Fool me once.....

Even though Dankwerth did not vote for the EDA, she was an enthusiastic supporter of the EDA with Vestar.
For that I fault her and can not support her nor any of the incumbents for that matter.
Terry "caveman" Parish also showed his support by his home run comments
Well three strikes and they are all out. Now that would be my idea of a real homerun
If it were only that simple.
