Mayor Gives Rosy Forecast Of Oro Valley's Economic Future

In an article from the Sept 26 Explorer, Mayor Loomis says we have a "rosy economic future."

That certainly is good news. If our future is so "rosy," we assume "Dankwerth's Utility Tax" will be rescinded. We'll no longer need to concern ourselves that a property tax is on the horizon, and that Oro Valley citizens won't be talked into forking over "tons of money" to subsidize the mayor's Naranja Park.

We always welcome good news. Thanks Mayor Loomis.

It appears as though Mayor Loomis invoked the memory of President Kennedy in his speech. Somehow he tried to compare the vision and challenge Kennedy faced when he called on the scientific community to send a man to the moon to the challenges he faces in leading Oro Valley to status as a community of excellence.

"Loomis, you're no Jack Kennedy"

In fact one would be hard pressed to compare Loomis favorably to Dan Quayle.

The Wal-Mart Supercenter at the cost of $23,000,000 to your citizens will be your legacy.

Lol!
No, Mayor Loomis is no Jack Kennedy, but he appears to live on the Moon!

Mayor Loomis needs to run for office again, but not in OV! He needs to move to a place where all his tax and spend idea's will be welcome or at least accepted as routine.
