On Aug 2, we posted an item advising, once again the Oro Valley Town Council held off on a decision on what to do concerning the issue of new power lines on Tangerine: "Up or Down? That is the Question"
The Arizona Daily Star reports that an outside consulting firm estimates the difference between TEP's cost for above ground poles is $262,587. Underground lines would cost an estimated $696,000.
What to do is still the question. If the town is to stay true to the ordinance of ONLY underground lines, a dollar amount of $433,413 will have to be found.
