Oro Valley has a citizen link called the "eServices Citizen Portal". Oro Valley neighbor and blogger Evan Wise used it to present a cogent discussion of issues surrounding the proposed power lines on Tangerine Road. Evan's position is that the lines should be buried and that the cost of such should be paid by Tucson Electric Power, recovered through their normal rate recovery process.
It is possible that the Town and not Tucson Electric Power would be responsible for burying these lines as it seems it is only temporary----until Tangerine Road gets "dug up" within the foreseeable future.
The town response was an apology for responding slowly, with some boilerplate about how the mayor & town council are studying the situation. Read Evan's message and the town's response by clicking here.
(By the way, Evan is Mr. Wise, not "Ms." as indicated in the town's response.)

Wow this response would have been more meaningful:
Dear Mr or Ms or Whoever,
Yada Yada Yada and oh yeah thank you for contacting us as we always underestimate the value of our constituents participation in our community.
Hey Bill-
Why don't you volunteer to take on the position?
Your way with words would certainly qualify you----and Oro Valley could save some $$$ by not having you on the payroll!
Your writing skills seem to be what OV needs!
By the way, do you happen to have a degree in communication?
"Yada Yada" always works for me!
Mr. or Ms. Artmarth,
I love it!!!
I will treat you to breakfast, lunch, or dinner so we can compare our academic credentials, net worth, and volunteer activities.
The point of my disjointed message was to show how insincere the response was from Oro Valley. At least the saluation could have been correct in the response to MR. Wise.
Several issues facing the quality of life in our beautiful city are already on the table. As the old saying goes actions speak louder than words. It is now time to act on these issues.
Oops! I meant salutation. I ain't a good speller
