All seven say "No"
Last night, the Oro Valley Town Council unanimously rejected the Avilla Homes rezoning project that would have put 207 tiny rental homes at the intersection of Rancho Vistoso Boulevard and Tangerine. After a 2 1/2 hour discussion, Mayor Joe Winfield motioned to deny the concept based on it's nonconformance with the general plan and lack of addressing substantial traffic issues that would occur as a result of the project. Council Member Josh Nicolson seconded the motion. The vote is a major victory for the thousands of residents who opposed this project.
