Oro Valley Council To Consider "FPA" With Roche

The Oro Valley council agenda for the Oct. 20 meeting has just been revised to add a "consent agenda" item authorizing an FPA (Financial Participation Agreement) with Ventana Medical Systems (parent company,Roche.)

Compared to those retail giveaways in the past, especially, the $23.2 to Vestar, working with this major drug research company makes total sense. Oro Valley will be returning development fees up to $1M to Ventana.

Can anyone argue with that, especially when the county & state are participating in bringing an additional 500 high wage jobs to our community?
