"Respect"

KOLD reported and the Explorer reported Mayor Hiremath's "State Of The Town" remarks, delivered last Thursday at a paid-for, Northern Pima Chamber of Commerce luncheon fundraiser.  According to the Explorer, the only theme was "Respect."   Explorer editor Perry, in his editorial, cheers for the Mayor.

This is the Mayor's first "State Of The Town" speech.   He's still new on the job. Be good to revisit, in a year or so, whether his "respect" theme sticks and whether it makes a difference to how the town performs. Let's hope that it does.

In the meantime, we're hoping that you will all be respectful to each other. So, we've removed monitored blogging for now.

Let's all get along.

As you can probably guess, I felt the previous decision was heavy handed and displayed poor judgement.

Being critical of ones opinion and expressing such is not being critical of the individual.

And I will disagree with an opinion regardless of who authored it. By the same token I will praise any person who provides positive input.....as I have done on numerous occasions.
