While We Were Away

Colorado River Restrictions Begin In 2020
Arizona and Nevada will see a restriction of the water they can take from the Lake Mead starting in 2020. This is because water levels in the lake are projected to be just below a trigger restriction level. This happens even though 2018-19 saw an increase in water levels due to heavy snow fall in the Rockies. Arizona will lose 7% of its allotment. This is about the amount that Arizona has be voluntarily not taking since 2015. Not to worry. Town water chief Abraham has assured LOVE that river water restrictions will have no impact on Oro Valley's water supply. Read about that here.

The deaths of Margory and Richard Brown on August 21 remind us all of how precious is our time together. The were killed in a traffic accident at the intersection of Tangerine and La Canada. Margory is the mother of Laurel Clark. Laurel was one of seven astronauts who died in 2003 on the return of the Challenger space mission. One could not write a story more sad.

Mystery Lights Over Pusch Ridge
Nexdoor.com neighbors have been discussing strange light sightings in and around Pusch Ridge. Some suggest it is aliens. Others think it might be from a planet. Our guess is that the pattern of lights described and the ability of the lights to stay stationary for long periods tells us that it is a drone. Also, it does seem to us that the Pusch Ridge wilderness would be a good place for "droning".
