How Oro Valley Balances it's $143.2 Million Budget

Oro Valley Town Manager Mary Jacobs has recommended a record setting town budget of $143.2 million for Fiscal 2019. The fiscal year begins this July 1. The town will hold public hearings on this budget in June.

Two weeks ago we we compared “Annual Growth Rates” in the Oro Valley budget, inflation and median Oro Valley household income.

One of the key features extolled by the Town Manager is that the Oro Valley Budget is balanced. That means that money sources= money spent. It does not mean that ongoing revenues of the town equals the amount spent.
