Heather's Corner: Spotlight on Oro Valley's Talented: Up and Coming Writer Jonathan Frahm

Here is someone to keep your eyes on Oro Valley! A serious music lover since the age of ten with vast tastes in genres, Oro Valley resident, Jonathan Frahm, has since combined his passion for music with his talent for writing. At the tender age of just 20, he is proving himself to be a respected freelance journalist in the world of music and entertainment.

Originally from the Bay Area, Jonathan published his first book at the age of 14, "Rocket 2032." Since then, Frahm has published two other works ("The Fallout", and the original version of "Project Believe.") His writing interests grew and he discovered the now defunct freelance program, Yahoo!'s "Voices," where he could write about music and break into the world of online journalism. This eventually led to working with PopWrapped and PopMatters, each of which have a monthly readership of over 1 million viewers, as a music writer.

With intentions of providing a platform for independent and lesser-known music artists to help "artists break into the mainstream," his writing capabilities have landed him interviews with American Idol winner Kris Allen and platinum-selling Canadian artist Nikki Yanofsky. He also writes locally for Tucson Local Media (Explorer, Marana News) but tells us he is always hoping to expand to audiences both world wide and locally,

"Tucson and its surrounding areas, like Oro Valley, are bursting at the seams with prolific musical talent...I'm hoping to branch out into other publications ... as a freelancer in the near future."

Currently in the works he is managing The Accidentals' show in Cave Creek, Arizona on April 11 at the Roastery of Cave Creek. You can also check him out on Facebook or Twitter or any of the above mentioned publications. Let's show our support to one of Oro Valley's young and talented. Chances are we will be hearing much more about his writing endeavors in the future!
