Dear Readers--- Allow me to take a moment to prove once and for all, that OVOT (Don Cox) may well have made his last comment on our blog.
Please read three excerpts, the first is a Cox comment made on June 30.2010.
Below are two other excerpts, my comment of Jan. 26, 2008 & a comment by Cox later that same day.
(If anyone is interested, the full comments are posted on the blog, with the last two in the archives by date.)
There is nothing more to say.

Allow me to set the record straight. I don't ever recall (although it may have happened) using my own name until after Art used it. If he can produce that I will readily admit to it. Just because Art says it is true does not make it fact.

OV Objective Thinker---
The more you comment here the more readers will realize your comments are unworthy of being taken seriously, and are nothing other than total arrogance.
And, it will be you who will see fit to either "hide behind OVOT" or not. I won't dignify you by stating your true identity.

Art, Art, Art.....
Everyone knows who you are. A lesser number know Dick. Most every person posting here also knows who I am. So we all hide equally....which is to say not at all!!!

Regardless if you love OVOT or hate OVOT, one cannot deny that his participation on the blog elicits an increase in the number of responses to posted topics.
While he may boil the blood of some and delight others, I believe that he offers a differing point of view and eliminate a groupthink mentality. As I have stated prior, one reason I enjoy reading the blog is to see different points of view in Oro Valley.
Just my two cents on this post.
As have done before, not frequently, but every time that it was necessary, I accept the correction and applaud Art for his research. (I'll bet he stayed up all night looking for it.)
And as I have previously stated, I will never post again......as long as what Art or others post is accurate and factual. If it is simply a different opinion than mine, I frankly don't give a damn. But it is basic false information that I will not allow to go unchallenged.
LOVE!!

An Appeal:
We must have diversity on this blog. Without the sometimes wacky views expressed by OVOT and his fellow travelers, we would become like FAUX News, just a bunch of old goats listening to our own opinions.

I think what's important here is to evaluate the goal of this blog. Is it to create dialogue and hear opinions from all sides or is it to just play with those who agree with the blogmasters' viewpoints?
"Arrogance" and "unworthy" comments seem to be in the eye of the beholder.
We could argue till the cows come home about which posters have nothing worthy to say, which are disrespectful, and which waste the reader's time.
To focus strictly on those who are all of the same mind is a shame, because that is not how this world works.
Jay D,
We meet again...
On another thread you were upset with Art for using Cox's real name (although not upset at all that Cox used my real name.)
Objectivity.
Then, both Art and I pointed out to you and OVOT that Art is not the one who revealed OVOT's identity and that OVOT had revealed his own identity shortly after he began blogging here in 2007.
Of course, since everything Art says is a lie and I have no concept of reality, we were asked to provide proof of our claim. Art just published the proof.
So I am going to reissue my "Objectivity Challenge" to you:
If you thought it was wrong for Art to use OVOT's real name, then you must believe it was wrong for OVOT to use my real name. And when you consider that OVOT had already revealed his own identity numerous times while I had never revealed mine, then you should be twice as angry with OVOT for doing it as you were with Art for doing it.
So go ahead, Jay D, show us all how "objective" you are and give Cox a good tongue-lashing. I can't wait.
And Jay D, you'll be surprised to hear me say this, but I agree with everything you said in your last post. I don't think any of us have a problem with someone else disagreeing with us, we just take issue with THE WAY in which they do it. It IS possible to disagree and still be civil and respectful while doing it.
As for me, I was civil and respectful to everyone on this site until certain bloggers decided to be immature bullies. It's gotten to a point where I could say something completely innocuous like, "Has everyone seen the beautiful sunset we're having tonight?" and OVOT would accuse me of being a socialist and OV Dad would "demand an apology!"
I'm exaggerating to make a point that there is a lot of fake outrage on this site.
VC, I was not "upset with Art," I was merely pointing out that rules on this blog (using real names) should go both ways.
I do not want to have any conversation with you. As I've said before, it's impossible and frustrating.
I would suggest that bloggers should only post comments they would be willing to say to a person's face, not post with this anonymous bully mentality that occurs too often here.
A couple of points:
1) No, Mr. Cox, I did not stay up all night finding the applicable posting to prove my point. Rather, it took no longer than 10 minutes.
2) I hesitated in doing this post because other than proving my point, I wasn't sure what else it would prove.
3) I will agree totally with my friend Victorian Cowgirl who commented:
"I don't think any of us have a problem with someone else disagreeing with us, we just take issue with THE WAY in which they do it. It IS possible to disagree and still be civil and respectful while doing it."
4) If we can ALL agree with that point, everyone will be welcome to continue blogging with no need for us to go to monitored comments.
5) I trust we can all agree that we have that option, (monitored comments) but we'd rather not have to re-institute it.
6) To finish on a high note---we appreciate all comments that contribute to the diversity of the blog and look forward to spirited, CIVIL debate.
Since this posting is "all about OVOT" I am reposting one of my earlier comments here so I can't be accused of going off topic.
Thinkerbell,
You said that the reason you sign your posts and others don't is because, "I am not ashamed of my postings and others must be."
Therefore, you just stated that Jay D and OV Dad and OinStarr and Roger are all ashamed of their postings. They're not going to like that.
It's also quite evident that you have upped the ante against me ever since I wrote my "Good Old Boys" post. That's interesting because I never mentioned EXACTLY WHO the boys were yet you seem to know that you are one of them. I guess you saw yourself in my description of the boys -- inability to debate, always resorting to their Battle Cries of character assassination and name-calling, etc.
I asked you to explain why you said nothing when Palomino made derogatory comments about Lou Waters. You couldn't answer the question so you pulled out your standard Battle Cries saying I was a fool, borderline lucid, and saying my logic was non-existent and I couldn't comprehend reality.
Character assassination.
Name-calling.
Thank you for proving that you're exactly what I said you were. Which of course also proves that you were wrong when you said, among other things, that I can't comprehend reality.
As for your comment that the blog master has no respect for my comments, I guess that would explain whey he deletes many of YOUR comments but none of mine.
Thinkerbell, your logic is non-existent and you can't comprehend reality.
Art,
Thank you so much for doing this posting.
For the record: There is absolutely no way I want this blog to return to the days of Art and Don dumping on each other.
Those dialogues were an enormous waste of time and reader effort.
During those times, I received countless messages, in one form or another, asking me to intervene and fix this problem.
I heartily agree with our bloggers that healthy disagreement in a agreeable manner is good.
Art and Don: We know you guys hate each other. We know you will never agree on anything. We are not interested in this stuff. So, please take it elsewhere.
We have a great town to build and that is what this blog seeks to promote.
