The Az Star has seen fit to chastise the Oro Valley Council for its recent 4-3 vote (Garner, Gillaspie, Latas, Spoerl)to continue with the $1000 annual fee for real estate agents to have the privilege of placing their signs in right of ways. The editorial rightly notes that Oro Valley is the only community that permits these signs.
The editor seemed to have missed the point that due to an oversight, Oro Valley has been collecting only $20 for this $1000 permit for five years.
Does anyone recall an Az Star editorial noting that Oro Valley, the only community to allow signs, only charges $20?
I don't think so!
