With 191 responses, only 21 (10%) said, "keep control regardless of the cost."
The overwhelming majority, 138 or 72% said, "Let Pima County Run It, As They Do Every Other Branch."
While we acknowledge this is a very small sampling of the population, our readers have previously proven to be quite astute in responding to the issues. In particular, they were quite emphatic in saying they didn't want the Naranja Park bond initiative and it was defeated by a 58-42% vote.
Although there are those that want to maintain autonomy with the library, it is evident the vast majority see no reason to pay mandatory Pima County Library Taxes, and continue to operate the library with a one million dollar plus deficit.
