The Az Star reports what Mary Schuh, Pima Association of Taxpayers Treasurer previously told us--- NW Fire District will consider subsidizing the Ritz Carlton with a "sweetheart" deal.
If the district follows through with this at their meeting scheduled for this evening, why wouldn't all other commercial entities want the same deal?
Perhaps NW Fire didn't read the recent Court of Appeals decision ruling that giving a subsidy to one and not others violates the Az Constitution!

Rob Robb: Court Right To Strike Down Phoenix's Subsidy Of Shopping Development
Outstanding reporter Rob Robb writes that the Arizona Court of Appeals made the correct decision in the Turken vs. Gordon case, when they ruled the almost one million dollar subsidy violated the Az Constitution. We totally agree with Mr. Robb's analysis.
